Why I wrote Sleep Well
After more than a decade in sleep medicine, I began seeing more women in their forties and fifties saying, “I can’t sleep anymore.” I realized I had never been taught how deeply perimenopause and menopause can affect sleep.
That realization led me to study the science behind sleep and midlife women’s health and ultimately write Sleep Well. If this information had not reached me as a sleep specialist, how were women expected to understand what was happening to them? I wrote this book so women would no longer have to face these changes without answers or accept exhaustion as their new normal.
